Are you having crate training problems? The use of a crate can speed up the process of house training, potty training, behavior problems, and even helps with travelling. Finding the best way to crate train your puppy is not hard. Many crate training problems can be avoided by introducing your new puppy properly and finding the correct size kennel to use.

The best way to crate train your new puppy is with patience. Start by placing some blankets and chew toys and some treats inside of the kennel. To avoid puppy crate training problems, always make the crate a positive experience. Introduce the crate by throwing some treats inside and once puppy is comfortable, start to close the door for a couple seconds at a time, increasing the time as she becomes more comfortable. Another great tip to avoid crate training problems is finding the right sized crate.

If you find the right size crate, you will save yourself from crate training problems. The reason for this is because dogs are den dwelling animals and won’t mess their sleeping quarters if given plenty of time to potty elsewhere. If your puppy has to much room she will use one side as her potty and the other to lay on. Find a crate that is just big enough for her to stand up and turn around in.

Some crate training problems can be avoided by simply following these tips. Crate training will help to speed up the training process and should be done with lots of love and plenty of praise. Try feeding your puppy her meals inside her crate, that can help her to enjoy it even more.
