Many people are under the misconception that crate training puppies is cruel and unkind but, when done properly, this could not be farther from the truth. Crate training puppies is a necessary process for most dog owners. Crate training puppies is an excellent way to allow your puppy to become familiar with his new environment. It is not a form of chastisement, but can definitely help to make a puppy become a well-developed animal.
The reason for crate training is to teach your dog to go into his crate on command for safety, obedience and general behavior control. The first thing to do when crate training your puppy is to make the crate a positive experience. Since the purpose of crate training is not to isolate him from the family but to give him his own space within the family, you should purchase a wire crate that will give him a feeling of being apart but will also let him see everything that’s happening. To effectively crate train your puppy, he should associate the crate with all things positive, even when he is in it by himself.
Crate training your puppy is the easiest, quickest and fuss-free methods of housetraining a puppy. It is an easy way to keep track of the whereabouts of your new little puppy, whilst making sure that he isn’t going to the bathroom in every corner and making chew toys out of your stuff. The simplest way to crate train a puppy is to introduce him to the crate with the door open at first, then put some of his favorite toys in the crate and shut the door for a few minutes.
One of the major goals of crate training puppies is to teach your pet that his crate is his special place where he can feel safe and secure. Many people, including dog trainers, are of the opinion that crate training puppies is a great idea because it is makes it simpler to housebreak puppies as they do not like to soil where they sleep.
The secret to successfully crate training your puppy is to get him to understand that nothing bad happens when he is alone is his crate. Crate training is much easier when the puppy finds the experience enjoyable. While crate training your puppy is not difficult, you will need to be persistent.

Here are the main reasons for destructive and inappropriate dog chewing: The desire to chew is innate to most dogs, especially if the item being chewed tastes good. The physical act of chewing can be an emotional outlet for a lonely or bored dog. As with comfort food to humans, a nervous dog can find chewing to be relaxing. Dogs that are under exercised may chew to keep themselves busy and to burn up excess energy.

The problem of dog jumping is very common. Often, dog owners will innocently encourage jumping when they respond with enthusiasm to a puppy that jumps up at them.
The puppy learns very quickly that jumping up results in him getting plenty of hugs and kisses. Dogs can’t possibly understand the difference between a small puppy and a large adult dog jumping up. In your dog’s eyes, there is no reason for him to stop jumping up just because he’s a few months older.

As well, this teaches puppies about eating and chewing skills. Chewing and biting are playtime activities for puppies. Puppies are naturally inclined to bite, however it is possible for you to stop puppy biting.

A dog will bark for many different reasons. Dogs may bark to warn you that a stranger is approaching or an intruder is breaking into your home. Dogs that are in pain or frightened will also bark. Whatever the reason, we are all in agreement that it can be extremely annoying and look for ways to stop dogs barking. Thankfully, it is possible to stop dogs barking without just cause.
